We had a lovely day today exploring and hiking around Canmore. The Rocky Mountains are fabulous and it feels like we are only just getting started. Today’s adventure was up a creek bed to see a small waterfall. Lots of nice views and a few surprises, like a hundred or more inukshuks to which of course the girls wanted to add their own as well.
Well we are thankful that overall, the start of our trip went off relatively smoothly. We were a bit worried when two weeks ago Flair changed our flights from 8:30am to 7:30pm. Add in all the problems we have been hearing about rental cars and we were mentally preparing ourselves for long waits. In the end when we arrived at the airport, only two flights were listed as on time and ours was one of them and we actually did leave on time. Also when we landed, there were two cars left at the rental.
Thanks to so many of you have that have sent us off in prayer and wished us well.
That first post in 2020 was definitely a trial post and a very sanitized version of “prepping”. This is a more accurate portrayal of what preparing for a trip around the world with one backpack each actually looks like. Julia also thinks that this is an accurate portrayal of the chaos in her brain
